Nestled behind West Baden Springs Hotel, The Stables at French Lick Resort is open daily 9am to 4pm and is home to 27 horses who have each been carefully selected and trained by our stables manager for a minimum of two years. Among them are trail horses for the 6+ miles of scenic horseback riding trails, the resort’s two carriage horses and ponies that provide rides for the little ones. The Stables also features a gift shop with western-style items and souvenirs.

The Stables at French Lick Resort offer guided trail rides ranging in length from 45 to 90 minutes and pony rides for children under 8 years old. Riders of all skill levels are welcome, and our staff can accommodate guests with special needs. Each guest is matched to a horse that is the best fit for them.

Visit The Stables at French Lick Resort for kid-friendly fun! Nothing beats the sights and sounds of children enjoying their first pony ride. All young cowboys and cowgirls receive colorful souvenir bandanas as part of their stables experience. Approximate length of ride is 10 minutes. Pony rides are unavailable from noon - 1pm.
The driveway to the Stables at French Lick Resort is located in the back of the self-parking lot of the West Baden Springs Hotel. Follow the signs at the end of the brick drive or take the complimentary French Lick Resort shuttle.
