Ahhh, spring break at French Lick Resort. A return to warmer temps. A chance to enjoy outdoor activities once again.
Maybe best of all, you’ll avoid hearing this famous line from the kids:
“I’m borrreddd.”
Nope, not when there’s this much to do in and around the resort. 40 recommendations for your family-friendly spring break:
- Bring your swimsuits: our heated outdoor pools open March 1, and it's always sunny and 70 at our indoor pools.
- Shoot 3D targets at the archery range — friendly for kids as young as 5.
-
A game of pickleball on the courts at French Lick Springs Hotel or West Baden Springs Hotel.

- Bowl a few rounds at Pluto’s Alley ….
- … And while you’re there, test the family at arcade games. Perfect for the actual kids and the grown-up kids.

- Bring your bikes for a leisurely ride around the property, or rent them at the Activities Center.
- Mommy-daughter spa day! Children age 12 and older can receive nail treatments when accompanied by an adult.
- It’s vacation, and by rule, breakfast in bed is a must.
-
Pack a picnic lunch and play a game of catch on the baseball field at East Park.
- Park yourself for a weekend Drive-In Movie with free popcorn on Fridays and Saturdays.
- A surrey cart ride with the entire crew. (You know it looks fun.)

- Catch the Silly Safari Animals show (March 22) and don’t forget to stop by the Windsor foyer nearby in the Event Center for face painting.
- Order up a “Hoosier,” “Deuce,” “Full House” or even tackle a Chicago-style deep dish pie at Pluto’s Pizzeria. If it’s a nice day, take your order to eat outside on the veranda.
- Be treated to the finer things in life at Mommy & Me Tea (March 22 & 26).

-
Stop by the Activities Center (in front of French Lick Springs Hotel) for kids’ activities galore: daily crafts, scavenger hunt, s’mores, chalk walks and more.
- After a long day of adventuring, head to West Baden Springs Hotel and order a sweet treat at Ballard’s in the Atrium: pie a la mode, brownie sundae or chocolate dome sound good?
- Huddle together with the whole crew and take in the sights on a horse-drawn carriage ride. Makes for an iconic “what we did on spring break” snapshot after your trip.
- Test your aim on a sporting clays experience. Recommended for ages 13 and older, no prior shooting experience is required and an experienced guide can show you the ropes.
- Create a work of art to take home at Cookies & Canvas (March 27 & April 5).
- “Happier than a kid in a candy store” should probably be replaced with “happier than a kid at a breakfast buffet.” Treat yourselves to The Grand Colonnade’s huge breakfast spread and start the day with an epic morning feast.

- Want a perfect activity to disconnect from cell phones and technology? Venture out for a relaxing ride horseback ride in the woods. All riders 9 and older are matched to the horse that's the best fit for them.
- Also at The Stables, the younger ones (under 8) can saddle up for a pony ride.

- Play 9 holes at Valley Links, a family-friendly course with six sets of tee markers. At all of our resort courses, kids 12 and younger receive complimentary play and ages 13-17 play for half price when playing with mom or dad.
- Save your appetite for one of the six tempting smash burgers at family-friendly Power Plant Bar & Grill. (The grilled cheese and chicken fingers are also winners for picky eaters.)
